The earth’s polar regions are rapidly warming and changing, threatening global sea level rise and coastal ecosystem survival. The Environmental Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (EFDL) is a collaboratory in which scientists, engineers, applied mathematicians, and artists collaborate to communicate and deliver solutions to pressing climate-related problems at the north and south reaches of the planet. EFDL’s services range from deploying observational instrumentation in polar oceans and on glaciers to integrating observational data into state-of-the-art forecast models to training the next generation.
